The Role:

As a Software Engineer, your role will primarily revolve around building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also be involved in directing system testing and validation procedures, and also working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new requirements, improve its performance, or upgrade its interfaces.
• Directing system testing and validation procedures.
• Directing software programming and documentation development.
• Consulting with internal groups, partners, and customers on project status and proposals.
• Working with internal groups on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
• Analyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system.
• Conferring with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities.

Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field experience.
• One to three years of industry experience.
• Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills - Ability to digest complex projects or Customer issues and devise a plan to best complete/solve them.
• Knowledge of the software development life-cycle.
• Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
• Experience with server side platforms such as Java, Kotlin, or Javascript/NodeJS.
• Experience with relational databases is a plus.
• An ability to collaborate, communicate, and work in a fast-paced team-based environment.
