This is a part-time project/limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 4 -12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

Role Purpose

The Senior Graphics Designer creates ground-up broadcast motion design work, in-game graphics, as well as updating existing elements and templates. You will be working with a tight group of sports design creatives. An engaging spirit is essential to the success of this role, elevating the craft with a ‘get-to-air’ urgency.

Responsibilities

Create graphic and animated elements including transitions, interstitials, show packages, opens, and titles
Design in-game insert graphic systems and layouts with comprehensive knowledge and expertise
Effectively communicate concepts and ideas to the Art Director and design team
Work on multiple packages and projects at the same time, while maintaining consistency with the overall graphic package
Collaborate with multiple producers and departments under tight deadlines, and short timelines
Understand the implementation of design elements in network television studio and live sports environments

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

College graduate with degree in graphic design or fine arts
Minimum (8) years’ experience working at a network or broadcast design agency
Understanding of the implementation of design elements in network television and live sports environments a must
Passion for smart, functional design, and an understanding of the balance between information and entertainment
Excellent at concept & storyboard design
Excellent design and typography skills
Excellent understanding of the value of good motion theory
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Must be flexible, detail-oriented, deadline driven and a good collaborator
Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects
Extensive knowledge of Maxon Cinema 4D, including modeling, texturing, lighting, animating, use of dynamics, MoGraph, render optimization, Red Shift, etc.

Desired Characteristics:

Love of Sports a plus
Passion for show packaging and knowledge of current trends in graphic design
