JOB SUMMARY

The Trainer and Content Developer is responsible for designing, developing, delivering, evaluating, and maintaining training programs and learning content that support employee onboarding, role readiness, system adoption, product enablement, and ongoing professional development across Verantum. This role partners with department leaders, subject matter experts, Product Management, Marketing, and HR to translate business needs, process changes, customer expectations, new functionality, product releases, service updates, and technology changes into clear, accurate, and engaging training materials. The role supports continuous improvement by using learner feedback, performance trends, release readiness needs, and operational insights to keep training content current, relevant, and aligned with Verantum’s processes, service standards, and go-to-market priorities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Design, develop, and maintain structured training programs that support onboarding, role readiness, system adoption, process consistency, and ongoing skill development across technical and non-technical teams.

·        Create clear, accurate, and engaging training content for multiple delivery formats, including live sessions, virtual training, self-paced learning, job aids, SOPs, and LMS-based materials.

·        Facilitate instructor-led training sessions, workshops, webinars, and hands-on learning activities that promote learner engagement, knowledge retention, and practical application.

·        Collaborate with department leaders and HR to identify training needs, performance gaps, quality trends, and process changes that require targeted learning solutions.

·        Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Implementation & SMEs to support operational readiness for new functionality, products, and services by developing training content & internal enablement materials.

·        Maintain and regularly update training documentation, job aids, SOPs, release enablement materials, and LMS content to ensure materials remain accurate, accessible, version-controlled, and aligned with current business processes, system functionality, product updates, and service expectations.

·        Stay current with emerging technologies, instructional design trends, and industry best practices to continuously enhance training effectiveness.

·        Support continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing learner feedback, training outcomes, quality trends, escalations, and operational pain points, then recommending updates to training content, delivery methods, and supporting documentation.

· Evaluate training effectiveness through learner feedback, knowledge checks, completion data, performance observations, and stakeholder input; use findings to improve future training.

·        Ensure all training is delivered in a professional, inclusive, and engaging manner that promotes knowledge retention and skill application.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

·        Proven ability to design and deliver training content that accommodates diverse learning preferences and promotes learner engagement.

·        Strong instructional design skills, with experience using tools such as PowerPoint, Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.

·        Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for a wide range of audiences.

·        Experience facilitating both virtual and in-person training sessions with confidence and professionalism.

·        Ability to assess learner performance, provide constructive feedback, and recommend development plans to supervisors.

·        Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including SMEs and all levels of leadership, to align training with business goals.

·        Proficient in using data and feedback to evaluate training effectiveness and make continuous improvements.

·        Comfortable in providing feedback to employees at all levels and fostering a culture of learning and development.

·        Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

·        Willingness to participate in cross-functional initiatives, including special projects, product enhancement releases, new service rollouts, internal communications, and ad-hoc training needs that support business readiness and adoption.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·        Education: Bachelor’s degree in Training and Development, Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field preferred. Equivalent practical experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

·        Experience: Three to five years of experience in corporate training, learning and development, technical enablement, instructional design, or content development within a technical, software, SaaS, systems, or technology-enabled operations environment.

·        Preferred Background: Experience developing training materials, job aids, SOPs, process documentation, presentations, and LMS-based learning content for technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with LMS platforms, Microsoft 365, PowerPoint, screen-recording tools, knowledge bases, Confluence or similar business systems preferred.

·        Role Level: Mid-level role for a candidate who can work independently with guidance; not intended as an entry-level or senior/expert instructional design role.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·        Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·        Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

·        Must possess/obtain a valid passport and be willing to travel.
