Software Engineer (Haskell)

Velozient is hiring English-speaking, LATAM-based Haskell Developers to join a dynamic and experienced team supporting a well-established client in the oil and gas industry. Our client is a 30-year-old company specializing in accounting and logistics management, operating with the drive and agility of a startup.

We’re looking for both mid-level (3–5 years of experience) and senior (5–10 years of experience) developers with recent, hands-on Haskell experience. These are fully remote, long-term roles where you'll collaborate with talented professionals across North and South America.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Haskell applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional, distributed teams in North and South America
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Ensure software quality, performance, and scalability
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and agile ceremonies

Required Experience

• Mid-level: 3–5 years of recent professional Haskell experience
• Senior: 5–10 years of recent professional Haskell experience
• Strong command of functional programming principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Desired Experience

• Background in oil and gas, accounting, or logistics management
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and remote collaboration tools
