THE ROLE

As a Senior Software Developer at Vantari, you'll collaborate closely within a cross-functional team of Software Developers, Medical Practitioners and 3D Artists. Your responsibilities will include:

· Designing and architecting software at the subsystem or component level.

· Implementing designs within the simulation engine, visual engine, or both, while considering customer requirements and product roadmap.

· Taking ownership of testing, including unit testing, for your own code and others'.

· Balancing formal processes with agile approaches to ensure high-quality software development in a dynamic environment.

· Providing leadership, whether formal or informal, in process, quality, and state-of-the-art techniques, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

· Demonstrating autonomy while also fostering collaboration as needed.

· Tackling technical challenges and solving unprecedented problems, offering multiple solutions and recommendations based on your evaluation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

· Extensive programming experience, with a strong proficiency in modern C++.

· Experience with a modern graphics engine or API is highly advantageous.

· Previous exposure to real-time simulation (training) environments is beneficial.

· Thorough understanding of mid to high-level software design and architecture, especially for a long-lived and evolving product.

· A strong emphasis on software quality, reliability, and performance.
