- Our Buildings division is a talented team of experts working together to deliver buildings and systems that perform better. We provide full-service engineering, design, and project management services for both new and existing facilities. Ever focused on providing a first-class client experience, our 35-plus-year history includes projects for schools, universities, healthcare systems, government agencies, aviation facilities, laboratories, and municipal clients.
Who You Are

- You have a Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- You have a strong track record of leading large-scale capital improvement projects — from water/wastewater facilities to public buildings — on time and within budget.
- You’re skilled in organizational change management and know how to guide teams and clients through transitions while keeping momentum.
- You’re a people leader with experience mentoring project managers, engineers, and technical staff, while building cohesion and accountability across multi-disciplinary teams.
- You think outside the box. You bring creativity to problem-solving and aren’t afraid to challenge conventional approaches to deliver success.
- You’re a strong communicator, with proven skills in client interaction, public speaking, and persuasive ability.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll manage a group of project managers and technical staff, recruiting, training, and providing mentorship to foster professional growth, cohesion, and innovation.
- You’ll lead organizational change initiatives to improve project delivery, team culture, and client engagement.
- You’ll oversee a portfolio of facilities projects — ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.
- You’ll set the vision for the group, developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- You’ll provide technical and strategic oversight for capital improvement programs, including water purification plants, pumping stations, tunnels, and public facilities.
- You’ll coordinate and negotiate contracts with design and construction management consultants and oversee compliance with commitments.
- You’ll build lasting client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to municipal and institutional partners.
- You’ll actively contribute to proposals and business development, partnering with marketing to position Primera for large, complex projects.
- You’ll share our passion for growth and learning — advancing industry best practices and creating an environment where your team thrives.
Some of What You’ll Enjoy
- An excellent benefits package including 401K match and employee stock ownership, gym and transit subsidies, paid volunteer time off, parental leave, continuing education reimbursement, and much more.
- Flexible work scheduling in a fast-growing company.
- A fun, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
- Colleagues who appreciate differences in people, perspectives, cultures, and ideas.
- The fruits of our employee-led committees focused on offering engaging social, wellness, and community service activities all year long.
