Marketing Database Specialist:

Our client is seeking a Marketing Database Specialist to support their marketing operations by ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and optimization of critical data systems. This role will be responsible for maintaining clean, reliable data across marketing automation and CRM platforms, supporting campaign execution, and safeguarding compliance with global privacy standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically skilled, and passionate about database integrity and efficiency.

This role is fully remote.

Marketing Database Specialist Responsibilities:

• Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and overall health of the marketing database through monitoring, validation, and cleansing activities.
• Manage imports, formatting, and data mapping in Excel before loading into marketing platforms such as Salesforce or Pardot.
• Oversee list management, deduplication, enrichment, and standardization of contact and account records.
• Create and manage automation rules, dynamic lists, and suppression lists to support campaign execution.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD) by maintaining opt-in governance and applying proper segmentation practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and integrate enrichment tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, or D&B.
• Support data flows and integrations between CRM, marketing automation, and third-party platforms.
• Produce recurring reports and insights on database health, growth, and segmentation performance.
• Assist with applying data governance standards and identifying data quality issues in partnership with data stewards.

Marketing Database Specialist Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 4+ years of experience managing marketing or sales databases, preferably in a B2B SaaS or global organization.
• Strong Excel skills for handling large datasets and experience with CRM/MAP systems such as Salesforce, Pardot, Eloqua, or Marketo.
• Familiarity with enrichment platforms (e.g., ZoomInfo, D&B, Hoovers, LinkedIn Navigator).
• Knowledge of data compliance and privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and their impact on marketing practices.
• Ability to segment and analyze data for campaign execution and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining data cleanliness and optimizing workflows.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or Access for querying datasets is a plus.
