Job Description:

Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Define, communicate, and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and strategic goals.
• Drive outcomes for data and application capabilities, including business rules, transformations, mappings, and data products.
• Establish and monitor product KPIs such as:
• Data Quality
• Delivery Cycle Time
• Defect Escape Rate
• Stakeholder Satisfaction
• Continuously improve product performance and delivery effectiveness.

Backlog Ownership & Prioritization

• Own, refine, and prioritize the product backlog using frameworks such as:
• WSJF (Weighted Shortest Job First)
• MoSCoW Prioritization
• Create and manage:
• Epics
• Features
• User Stories
• Acceptance Criteria
• Develop detailed BDD/Gherkin-based acceptance criteria.
• Manage dependencies and maintain a ready backlog for sprint execution.

Requirements & Domain Analysis

• Lead discovery sessions to gather and document:
• Business Rules
• Source-to-Target Mappings
• Data Lineage
• Transformation Logic
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Architecture teams to align business definitions and data quality standards.
• Convert technical analyses into business-friendly requirements suitable for estimation and development.

Agile Delivery Leadership

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including:
• Sprint Planning
• Backlog Refinement
• Daily Stand-Ups
• Sprint Reviews
• Retrospectives
• Provide ongoing clarification to development teams.
• Remove delivery blockers and make prioritization decisions.
• Drive UAT planning, release readiness, and change management activities.
• Approve completed stories and feature deliverables.

Quality, Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure acceptance criteria are aligned with testing strategies and traceability requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive product documentation including:
• Functional Specifications
• Business Logic Catalogs
• User Guides
• Release Notes
• Ensure compliance with SDLC standards, governance controls, and organizational policies.
• Maintain auditable documentation and decision records.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

• Serve as the primary liaison between:
• Business Stakeholders
• Data Engineering Teams
• Application Development Teams
• QA Teams
• DevOps Teams
• Architecture Teams
• Provide guidance on:
• Data Architecture
• Product Impact Analysis
• Operational Readiness
• Prioritize enhancements, defects, and technical debt based on business value and risk.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 10+ years of experience as a:
• Product Owner
• Business Systems Analyst
• Product Analyst
• Strong experience working within:
• Data Warehouse Environments
• Database Platforms
• Enterprise Applications
• Experience documenting and validating complex business logic across multiple systems.

Agile & Product Management Skills

• Extensive experience managing product backlogs and roadmaps.
• Strong expertise in:
• User Story Creation
• Acceptance Criteria Development
• Agile Ceremonies
• Experience with:
• Jira
• Azure DevOps
• Confluence

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of:
• SQL
• Data Warehousing Concepts
• Data Architecture Patterns
• Exposure to one or more of the following technologies:
• Snowflake
• dbt
• AWS
• Python
• Jenkins
• Oracle
• Greenplum
• SQL Server
• Sybase
• JSON
