Role Description

Vacation® is looking for a Senior Brand Manager to lead the development, organization, and execution of key initiatives across marketing, product, and creative projects. Reporting to the VP of Brand, this role will ensure brand consistency at all touch points, project manage cross-functional initiatives, and drive campaigns from strategy through ideation and execution. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on creative execution, strong organizational skills, and a sharp eye for detail to keep timelines on track, communications clear, and creative work aligned with brand goals. The position will work within the Marketing team, partnering with the Marketing Operations, Product Development, Sales, Design, and Growth Marketing teams. This role is based on the west coast and is fully remote.

Responsibilities

Brand Marketing

  • Lead campaign planning, task management, and execution for brand initiatives (e.g. partnerships, events, creative campaigns)
  • Write strategic briefs for internal teams and external partners as needed
  • Review creative work to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand standards
  • Act as a filter on brand voice – learning the tone across various touch points and flagging when copy needs adjustment

Product Marketing

  • Lead campaign planning, task management, and execution for product launches and e-commerce initiatives
  • Manage the creation of (and contribute to) copy for all launch assets, e.g. retail and DTC product pages, printed materials, emails, and social posts
  • Develop timelines, write briefs, assign tasks, and manage rounds of feedback
  • Run status meetings for product launches and keep stakeholders informed and accountable
  • QA final deliverables and support last-minute adjustments, for example proofing content before posting or printing

New Product Development

  • Contribute new product ideas creatively, while also project managing the Marketing tasks within the NPD process
  • Conduct market, trend, and competitive research to support innovation
  • Assist with new product ideation, based on SKU needs outlined by PD
  • Assist with product positioning, together with PD, recommending key ingredients, MSRP, and product benefits to message
  • Assist with ideation for product names and packaging direction
  • Manage category research (with assistance from Marketing Coordinator), compiling comprehensive data around competitive pricing and positioning

Administration and Department Management

  • Maintain visibility across all marketing projects to ensure the right work is being prioritized, projects are being delivered on time and all feedback is being addressed
  • Monitor timelines, calendars and resourcing needs, and flag issues ahead of time
  • Schedule meetings and check-ins with key stakeholders to keep projects moving
  • Act as a key point of coordination between Marketing, internal Vacation® departments, and external partners and agencies
  • Maintain strong attention to detail across all deliverables and communications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • 6+ years experience in brand marketing or advertising account management, ideally with beauty or personal care brands
  • Experience launching products and managing campaigns
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Strong beauty copywriting skills (product descriptions, romance copy, headlines, features and benefits, etc)
  • Experience writing with a distinct, existing brand tone
  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional workflows and timelines
  • Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and delegation skills
  • Experience with Asana is preferred
  • Excited to grow Vacation® into a household name and have fun in the process
  • You use sunscreen

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
  • Employee equity options
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage (100% coverage for employees)
  • Annual learning and development stipend
  • WFH stipend
  • 15 days PTO, plus paid holidays
  • Complimentary Vacation® products
