UST seeks an experienced Data Scientist — Optimisation Specialist in Ukraine to join the UST Data Science team, which has achieved great recognition and results in its short life. The Data Scientist will engage with external Clients and internal customers, understand their needs, and deliver insights, recommendations and tools to shape their actions. With a focus on optimisation techniques and GCP implementation, you will drive innovative solutions while mentoring up to two junior data scientists or interns within the team.
Location: Ukraine.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients to understand their business objectives, data landscape, and analytical requirements. Act as a trusted advisor to recommend data-driven solutions that align with their strategic goals.
- Delivery of both ad-hoc analysis requests from external Clients and internal customers, as well as proactive value-add research delivered through documents, dashboards, presentations, etc.
- Apply advanced statistical, optimisation and machine learning techniques to analyse large datasets and derive meaningful insights. Develop predictive models, optimisation algorithms, and data visualisations to solve complex business problems.
- Formulate real-world problems as mathematical optimisation models, accounting for constraints, uncertainties, and multiple objectives.
- Design end-to-end data science solutions tailored to the specific needs of each client, with particular focus on optimisation approaches. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytical models into client systems and processes using GCP.
- Develop innovative optimisation concepts and drive them towards implementation with growing self-sufficiency.
- Mentor junior data scientists, sharing expertise in optimisation techniques and GCP implementation.
- Share data science knowledge with wider functions, transforming raw data into useful and analysable derived data sets and develop re-usable analytical and visualisation methods.
