Software Engineer – Smallworld:

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Software Engineer – Smallworld for a long contract based in Romania

Its paying well and my client can interview asap!

Primary Skillset:

• Smallworld Modules: Core SW4, SW5, GSA, DM, NRM, EO, FME, Magik, Java, JSF, SWMFS DBA, VMDS, SQL, Oracle.
• Tools & Platforms: Physical Network Inventory, Network Inventory Gateway, Electric Office, Electric Office Web, Gas Office.
• Technologies: Magik, Java, SQL, Shell scripting, Oracle DB.
• Other: Source control systems, development processes, ability to interpret logs & debug files.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and solutions within the GE Smallworld ecosystem.
• Work on Physical Network Inventory (PNI), Electric Office (EO), Gas Office (GO), and related Smallworld modules.
• Integrate, customize, and optimize Smallworld-based solutions using Magik, Java, and Oracle database.
• Perform installation and configuration of operating system patches and third-party software (e.g., ONA, Data Center Management).
• Support system debugging, log analysis, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of GIS and network inventory systems.
