Software Engineer – Power Systems Applications:

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Software Engineer – Power Systems Applications for a long contract based in Romania

Its paying well and my client can interview asap!

Overview / Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver advanced Power Systems Application software according to project/product commitments.
• Work closely with Electric Utilities, ISOs (Independent System Operators), and TSOs (Transmission System Operators) on functional software specifications.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and tune applications for power system operations.
• Install and configure operating system patches and third-party software (e.g., Oracle, NetApp).
• Support real-time or mission-critical systems, including applying fixes on live customer systems.
• Perform system debugging, log analysis, and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with teams using GitHub and ClearCase for version control and configuration management.

Primary Skillset:

• Programming Languages & Databases: C, C++, Java, Oracle Database, SQL, Shell scripting.
• Operating Systems: Linux, Windows.
• Tools & Platforms: GitHub, ClearCase, Power on Reliance, NetApp.
• Other Skills: System configuration, real-time/mission-critical systems support, log analysis, problem-solving.
