Job Title: Brand Designer IV
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Duration: 3 months with potential for extension
Pay Range: $80–90/hour (depending on experience)
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Brand Designer IV to join our creative team and help define the visual identity and design language for our next generation of wearable technology. This role blends brand storytelling, product design, and digital experience — ideal for a designer who’s passionate about translating complex technology into engaging, human-centered visual design.
You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product design, and hardware teams to create cohesive brand experiences across digital, physical, and in-device touchpoints (including wearables like smartwatches and fitness trackers). The ideal candidate brings a strong aesthetic sensibility, technical fluency, and deep understanding of designing within large tech ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute brand design concepts that unify marketing and product experiences across platforms.
- Design visual systems, campaigns, and interface assets for wearable technology (e.g., Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, etc.).
- Collaborate with product and UX teams to ensure brand consistency across in-device UI, companion apps, and digital channels.
- Contribute to and maintain scalable design systems that support cohesive brand storytelling across web, mobile, and hardware environments.
- Translate complex product features and data insights into clear, engaging visual narratives.
- Partner with motion, illustration, and copy teams to bring creative campaigns to life.
- Present design concepts to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership with clarity and strategic rationale.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional design experience, including brand design, visual design, or marketing design in a large-scale tech or consumer brand environment.
- Proven experience designing for wearable technology, connected devices, or embedded digital interfaces.
- Strong portfolio showcasing cross-platform design work — from digital marketing to product UI/UX.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and motion design tools (After Effects, Principle, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain design systems and cross-functional visual guidelines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — comfortable collaborating with engineers, product managers, and marketers.
- Strong understanding of branding principles, visual hierarchy, typography, and color theory within a digital-first context.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience at a major tech company (e.g., Google, Apple, Meta, Amazon, Fitbit, Garmin, or similar).
- Familiarity with wearable UX/UI standards, sensor data visualization, and health or fitness-related design.
- Experience contributing to hardware + digital integration projects.
- Knowledge of 3D visualization, motion design, or AR/VR branding environments is a plus.
