As a Plumbing Engineer with 5-10 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in the design, drafting, planning, and implementation of plumbing systems, equipment, and distribution systems for a variety of projects. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that plumbing systems meet all relevant codes, regulations, and client requirements. Self-directed design of application appropriate plumbing systems to suite indoor controlled environments, agricultural, commercial offices, and commercial retail projects.
**This position is available to be located in Houston, TX or remote within the United States.
Responsibilities:

Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine the best plumbing system design for each project.
Prepare detailed plumbing plans, specifications, and drawings.
Select and specify appropriate plumbing materials, fixtures, and equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing problems.
Adhere to all safety regulations and standards.
Provide technical support to contractors and subcontractors.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Actively communicate with and routine participation in, in-company and out-of-company design team coordination meetings.
Draft and design plumbing systems, equipment, and distribution systems.
Works collaboratively with a design and drafting team to create design sketches, calculations, layouts, and plans.
Uses Autodesk Revit software to create preliminary, coordination, and detailed construction documents.
Performs related plumbing duct, pipe, and equipment sizing load calculations for building, facility, tenant improvement, and renovation projects with minimal supervision.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Work is expected to be performed during normal business operations hours. Self-directed after-hours work is acceptable, but not as a substitute for performance during the normal business operations hours.
Travel
Some local, regional, national, and international work travel may be required, less than 1 week per month.
