Software engineer for Low-Code Platform Fork

Summary

- Looking for software engineers to rebuild/fork a Retool-like platform for viewing/filtering data and exporting to CSV, Hubspot, Salesforce, or other CRMs.

- Prior experience with low-code platforms like Retool is an advantage.

- Prior stack: Typescript/Node.js backend API with Supabase (Postgres) and adding enterprise features like SSO and RBAC.

- React skills are a plus, and AI assistant usage is encouraged.

- The platform includes a drag-and-drop app builder with 80+ UI components and a workflow editor for backend automation, with customer feedback driving feature updates.

The US Client is looking for 2 engineers to build a platform similar to retool.com.

In addition to rebuilding a significant share of the retool feature set, the platform they build will allow users to view/filter Intellectual Property (IP) usage data across the web. The app will also allow for exporting data either to CSV/Hubspot/Salesforce,/Other CRMs.

Requirements, needs, and tech stack:

• Senior, full-stack engineer familiar with several tech stacks;
• Typescript & Node are the most important ones;
• React - very good to have;
• Usage of AI assistants is welcome and desired.

Main Goals:

• Build Backend API;
• Add enterprise features (e.g., SSO, RBAC, CRM integrations, etc.);
• Postgres / Supabase as a database.

Brief platform overview:

1. App Builder (Web Apps): Drag‑and‑drop interface with 80+ built‑in UI components-tables, charts, forms, buttons, navigation, maps, file inputs, LLM‑chat widgets, etc. Components can be wired to data sources, and you can write inline JavaScript/SQL expressions to manage logic;
2. Workflows: Visual workflow editor to automate backend logic, scheduled tasks, or webhook processing-replacing one-off scripts and cron jobs;
3. Mobile Apps (?TBD);
4. External (Embedded) Apps. Embed Retool-built apps within other applications or client portals. Offers flexible authentication and access control options;
5. Database (Managed Postgres) - will be used as is or with minor additions. The US Client is looking for 2 engineers to build a platform similar to retool.com;
