The Opportunity

We're seeking a creative, self-driven Product Experience and UI/UX Designer to join our team on a contract basis during a critical period of product experimentation and innovation. You'll work directly with our product and engineering teams to conceptualize, design, and iterate on new ways to visualize complex engineering data that helps leaders identify bottlenecks and systemic issues affecting their organizations.

This is not your typical design role. We're in rapid experimentation mode, testing hypotheses around how to best visualize complicated problems that influence value delivery in large engineering organizations. We need someone who can take minimal direction and run with it, who can conjure compelling visualizations from limited data, and who thrives in ambiguity rather than rigid process.

What You'll Do

Conceptualize and design innovative visualizations for complex data sets that help engineering leaders drive change in their organizations
Design experiences that not only display data but also guide users toward meaningful insights and actions
Create prototypes and mockups that bring our product vision to life, particularly around visualizing the sociotechnical aspects of engineering organizations
Rapidly iterate on designs based on customer and market feedback
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to test hypotheses and validate visualization approaches, providing enough direction for engineering to build solution that meet the goals of your design
Develop a cohesive visual language that aligns with our brand messaging and differentiates us from competitors

What We're Looking For

5+ years of UI/UX design experience for enterprise B2B SaaS products, with a strong portfolio demonstrating data visualization work
Experience designing for enterprise/B2B software, particularly products serving technical audiences
Strong background in creating innovative dashboards, charts, and interactive visualizations that transform complex data and abstract concepts into actionable insights
Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate on designs with minimal direction
Comfort with ambiguity and experimentation; this is not a role for someone who needs detailed specifications or established processes
Self-starter mentality with the ability to collaborate, take feedback, and incorporate insights from stakeholders
Ability to balance aesthetic excellence with pragmatic functionality
