About The Project

UnzerGPT is Unzer's cutting-edge Generative AI initiative, powered by Large Language Model (LLM), designed to transform how users access and leverage information. Initially developed as an AI-driven assistant for internal employees, it provides accurate answers to inquiries about company policies, procedures, and resources, while offering advanced document search capabilities for efficient information retrieval. Built with scalability in mind, UnzerGPT is poised to expand its support to merchants and other stakeholders, delivering impactful solutions and enhancing productivity across diverse audiences.

As a Software Engineer, you will take full ownership of developing the UnzerGPT application. This hands-on role encompasses backend and frontend development, AI model integration, and delivering a seamless user experience. You’ll work independently, driving the project from concept to completion.

Please note: Residency within the EU is a requirement for this position.

What You Will Do

• Architect, develop and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs for the UnzerGPT application.
• Integrate and optimize Generative AI models into the application, ensuring efficient and effective usage.
• Design and implement an intuitive frontend using Angular, delivering a dynamic user experience.
• Translate project requirements into technical specifications, working closely with stakeholders and the Director of Engineering.
• Manage the complete software development lifecycle independently, from development to deployment and maintenance.

What you need to be successful in this role:

• Proficient in Python with extensive experience in backend systems and AI/ML integration (4y+).
• Strong expertise in client-server architecture and API development (REST/GraphQL).
• Skilled in frontend development with Angular, focusing on building responsive and user-friendly interfaces (2y+).
• Good understanding of data science concepts.
• Proven experience deploying and scaling AI applications in production environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
