Here's a Summary Of Responsibilities
This role will serve as the go-to day-to-day USOPC liaison for the athlete and athlete agent community in terms of leading outreach and communication around marketing deals and opportunities related to athletes’ Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). In the process of becoming this trusted point of contact, it will be essential that this individual become familiar with the Team USA athlete community, from both on-the-field and off-the-field perspectives, covering Olympic and Paralympic athletes in summer and winter sports.

- Serve as the primary liaison with the athlete/athlete agent community and internal USOPC parties interested in partnering with athletes on deals connected to their NIL rights. These internal parties will include Team USA Partners, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation (USOPF), Team USA Content, LA28, Team USA agencies, vendors, and more
- Drive the end-to-end coordination of all athlete deals and opportunities ranging from NIL use approvals, social media posts, content creation, speaking appearances, meet-and-greets, autographs, and more.
- Collaborate with the internal USOPC parties that engage in athlete marketing and commercial opportunities. Partner across teams to ensure that the different processes, goals, and budgets are understood so that when it comes time to offer an athlete a deal, it can be aligned with the party’s objectives.
- Understand required fee ranges as well as off-the-field-of-play athlete interests to provide value to internal USOPC parties when searching for the right athlete(s) to match with various opportunities based on different criteria.
- Maintain up-to-date athlete client rosters for Team USA athlete agents. Lead the communications strategy with this vast community, including webinars and newsletters to keep them up-to-date on pertinent USOPC news and happenings.
- Collaborate and establish necessary processes with other internal stakeholders that could be connected to athlete marketing and commercial deals such as Legal, Operations, Finance, and Athlete Services.
- Partner with the Brand & Fan Engagement team to provide recommendations for various athlete stories to highlight in commercial and non-commercial programs and campaigns as part of flame-to-flame efforts.
- Contribute to the strategy and execution of the Athlete Marketing team’s athlete personal brand and NIL education and inspiration programs for Team USA athletes.
- Create athlete-centric content that will engage Team USA athletes on personal branding topics. Draft additional materials, guides, whitepapers, presentations, and resources for the USOPC Athlete Marketing team, aligned with the athlete marketing education and inspiration strategy co-developed with the Director.
- Stay current on evolving Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) policies, commercial vs. non-commercial guidelines, and opportunities. Develop recommendations to support better education, exposure, and earnings for Team USA athletes.
- Strategize and manage athlete-focused experiences, content capture moments, and commercial and personal branding opportunities at key USOPC tentpole events such as NBC x USOPC Promo Shoot and USOPC Media Summit.
- Partner with USOPC digital and content teams, other USOPC departments, and third-party agencies, as relevant, to strategize and build new and innovative athlete marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with Team USA athletes to identify new or existing areas across USOPC and Team USA platforms and storytelling opportunities to promote and support athletes. Follow trends in athlete marketing and identify appropriate applications for such information.
- Serve on a cross-functional team to develop and execute a plan to elevate Paralympic awareness on the road to LA28.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of athlete marketing initiatives with data to inform future campaign planning and execution.
- Perform other duties as assigned, in support of the growth of the Athlete Marketing team.
Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience in athlete marketing/partnerships or sports marketing
- Experience with navigating deals related to NIL rights
- Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to develop and sell concepts and campaigns
- Ability to think independently and contribute to cross-functional campaigns
- Appreciation for sport and the ideals of the Olympic & Paralympic movem

- Hiring pay range: $62,672- $79,593 Per Year
- This Full- Time, Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week.
- Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 15% target. The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
