Software Engineer (.NET & Business Intelligence)

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Software Engineer (.NET & Business Intelligence) to join our UniQue team!

What will you be doing in this role?

• Design and develop software systems in alignment with functional and technical requirements.
• Lead and coordinate development teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Translate business and technical requirements into detailed design specifications.
• Optimize software solutions for performance, security, and quality.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide effort and time estimates for development tasks and deliverables.
• Define and enforce software development standards and guidelines.
• Propose technical solutions addressing business needs and resolving technical challenges.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret software performance metrics.
• Manage configuration, version control, and release processes.
• Contribute to requirements analysis, testing, quality assurance, change management, and deployment activities.
• Design and execute testing procedures, and develop custom testing tools when needed.
• Prototype new solutions and validate innovative approaches.
• Provide second and third-level support, resolving complex technical issues

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• Minimum education level{{:}} Bachelor's degree (EQF Level 6) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in IT.
• Minimum 2 years of project experience in a similar role or within comparable environments.
• At least one intermediate-level certification in software development or an equivalent internationally recognized certification (subject to acceptance by the Contracting Authority).
• Proven experience in enterprise-level software design and development, covering the full lifecycle — from requirements analysis and architecture design to deployment and support.
• Strong proficiency in .NET framework development (minimum 3 years).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies or similar, including SQL, ETL, data modelling, OLAP, reporting, and data mining tools.
• Excellent knowledge of UML for system and application design.
• Skilled in designing and developing data, business logic, and UI layers of complex systems.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Solid understanding of software performance, security, and quality optimization principles
• A fluency in the English language will be required
