Freelance CAD Jewelry Designer

Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our team. The Designer will create designs for all classifications for specified lines that will result in products that meet the trend needs of the Buyer and ultimately the customer.

Duties

• Conceptualize product ideas for saleable fashion and trend collections
• Review selling with merchandising and sales teams Identify trends and interpret into product
• Shop market and study trend service materials to maintain clear creative vision
• Fulfill merchandising sku plans; suggest concepts to achieve merchandising business initiatives
• Produce and maintain detailed CAD drawings and designs
• Modify designs to maintain margin goals
• Create technical specs and/or detailed design directives for the clear communication of product design to product sourcing team
• Ensure the integrity of design is accomplished with respect to margin goals through smart design and material choices. Must develop ability to design within price targets
• Knowledge and understanding of how jewelry is made, including technical grasp of all metals, materials and components in order to produce clean, clear and detailed designs
• Able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and goals
• Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in design, product development and production methods
• Experience with fine jewelry/bridge jewelry required
• Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Requires a high degree of diplomacy and the ability to deal with and influence persons in all types of positions relative to inside and outside contacts.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
