Lead UX design activities on initiatives from beginning to end for ULs digital products and websites.
Understand and advocate for client and end user needs.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to help define business and feature requirements, user scenarios, and use cases.
Create UX and design assets including process flows, site maps, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and mockups to effectively communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors.
Present design solutions in ways that communicate the value of design decisions.
Work closely with product stakeholders to ensure a full understanding of the product teams needs and priorities.
Participate in weekly team meetings and design reviews.
Work within project timelines, deliver design assets based on product roadmap.
Evangelize user experience and user-centered design throughout the company.
Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
Qualifications
Bachelors' degree or demonstrated competency in Usability, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology or relevant field
Expert knowledge of modern design/prototyping tools
2-5 years of User Experience design experience or demonstrated competency
Demonstrated ability in one more additional areas of user-centered design such as; content strategy, information architecture, or visual design
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in modern research, prototyping, and design tools
Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, information architecture and interaction design
Take ownership for self-development, stay current with design patterns, best practices, and tools in the field of UX.
