Qualifications
- 10+ years of recent, hands‑on engineering work with Apigee, MuleSoft or IBM Integration Bus, and Ping Federate
- 5+ years in a leadership capacity
- Strong communication skills
- Deep technical background in APIs, SOA, microservices, and architectural best practices
- Ability to champion API‑first, microservices, SOA, and cloud‑native approaches
- Provide technical direction and governance for Apigee
- Critical requirement: oversight of Apigee, ESB platforms, and .NET API ecosystems
- Strong appetite for continuous learning and expanding technical breadth
- Solid understanding of SOA, API‑first integration, microservices, SSO, and container platforms
- Demonstrated expertise in enterprise integration patterns, event streaming (Kafka, Event Hubs), and asynchronous messaging
- Guide design and implementation of Java or .NET APIs, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security, and performance
- Java experience is acceptable as long as the candidate can provide architectural guidance
- Familiarity with cloud platforms—Azure preferred, but AWS or GCP also relevant
- Broad understanding of cloud integration and migration strategies
- Lead architectural governance, standards, design reviews, and collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure cohesive delivery
- High‑level understanding of security architecture, including API security, identity and access models (OAuth, OIDC), zero‑trust concepts, and secure cloud design
- Must demonstrate active engagement with modern technologies (POCs, emerging AI concepts, etc.)
