We are looking for an Lead Software Engineer (Frontend) based in India who is excited about working remotely for a Canadian company! You will serve a key role in developing a cutting-edge, innovative cloud-based platform that provides tools and services for managing a production pipeline for animation, games and VFX projects. #WorkFromHome

Job Title: Lead Software Engineer (Frontend)

Job Type: Full Time (100% Remote - India)

Experience: 6+ Years

What You’ll Do:

Architect, develop, and maintain scalable Angular-based applications, setting the technical standard for the frontend team
Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers — conducting code reviews, providing technical guidance, and supporting their professional growth
Own the delivery of frontend workstreams: planning tasks, estimating effort, tracking progress, and ensuring features ship on time and within budget
Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements and design concepts into performant, intuitive user interfaces
Drive frontend best practices across the team — clean code, testing standards, component architecture, and documentation
Identify and mitigate technical risks early, escalating blockers and making pragmatic trade-off decisions to keep delivery on track
Stay current with Angular releases and the broader frontend ecosystem, bringing relevant improvements back to the team

What You Need:

6+ years of hands-on experience with Angular, including familiarity with modern Angular (v14+) patterns such as standalone components and signals
Proven experience leading or managing a team of developers in a delivery-focused environment
Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, timelines, and priorities across multiple concurrent workstreams
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript
Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL integration
Experience with Git-based workflows in a collaborative team setting (branching strategies, PR reviews)
Strong communication skills — able to report progress clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Sharp problem-solving instincts and a high standard for code quality

Nice To Have:

Experience with other JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js)
Familiarity with backend technologies (e.g., Python, Node.js) and database systems (SQL/NoSQL)
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments as a tech lead or delivery lead
Understanding of frontend performance optimization and accessibility standards (WCAG)
