Job Summary

The position focuses on developing and executing tailored regional marketing plans, campaigns, and activities to drive customer engagement, lead generation, and business growth, alongside maintaining brand consistency. Key responsibilities include managing budgets cost-effectively, analyzing campaign performance, and leading cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the role supports crisis communications, PR, digital marketing, and local content adaptation while fostering team development and aligning with the global Corporate Global Office Marketing and Communications in Cologne.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Managing, leading and guiding a regional marketing & communications team virtually (currently based in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Chile).
  • Responsible for successful G2M strategies and excellent operational execution of regional and local marketing and communication activities to drive customer engagement, lead generation, business growth and brand awareness in alignment with the global business marketing and communication strategy.
  • Responsible for effectively translating and implementing the global strategic marketing & communication requirements of the business fields and the Corporate Global Office Marketing and Communications (GO M&C) into an overall regional planning of tailored marketing and communication activities, measured by KPIs and campaign management.
  • Continuously aligning with the responsible internal stakeholders and customers within the regions such as managing directors, sales and business field managers.
  • Reporting directly to the Corporate Global Office Marketing and Communications based in Cologne, Germany
  • Regional counterpart and main contact for all GO M&C units which are mainly based and headquartered in Cologne, Germany. These units include Corporate Digital Marketing, Corporate Communications, the Corporate Brand team as well as Market Research.
  • Responsible for regional communications and acting as representative to Corporate Communications (GO M&C) on PR, crisis communications and social media.
  • Responsible for the regional marketing and communications budget as well as for utilizing it carefully and cost-effectively.

Principal Duties And Responsibilites

  • Translate and implement the comprehensive marketing and communications strategies of the Business Streams tailored to the unique needs and goals of the region North & South America.
  • Design and development of regional/local marketing plans for the defined target market segments/target groups, incl. key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and acquisition of new customers according to defined KPIs.
  • Alignment and support of the respective marketing plan: from strategy (focus areas) to programs to operational marketing campaigns and tactics (incl. KPIs) to support business streams.
  • Implement regional marketing & communication strategy, processes, structures, tools, KPIs in the region in line with global governance & guidelines.
  • Accountable for implementing the Service Function (SF) organizational structure in close collaboration with the GO M&C and for the fulfilment of regional SF staff requirements according to global staff planning.
  • Build and lead a high-performing decentralized marketing and communications organisation including customer journey, demand generation, lead generation, sales enablement, content, influencer and partner marketing and local communications, with a hands-on mentality, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Define marketing mix to support sales and business objectives and support the TR marketing strategy. Adapt regional/local content and distribute via specific local (digital) marketing channels.
  • Plan, execute, and measure marketing campaigns and initiatives, including digital marketing, content marketing, public relations, and advertising, to achieve regional business targets. Conduct analytics (incl. KPI reports) upon completion of campaigns to control effectiveness of marketing activities and gather insights for future campaigns.
  • Ensure implementation and control global & regional marketing campaigns/programs in the region, incl. local content/ asset creation/ adaptation, with a focus on digital marketing formats & channels.
  • Manage the marketing and communications budget for the region, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective strategies in alignment with the business streams and the Global Officer M&C.
  • Manage and improve all marketing processes and activities, especially in digital marketing, but also in trade fairs/events, market research & analytics, in line with globally defined processes and guidelines.
  • Accountable for the regional marketing & communications governance and implementation of the business and global marketing and communications strategy in the region according to global guidelines.
  • Develop, plan, manage, and control internal and external marketing communications including press work and crisis communication at the regional level in coordination with the Global Office Marketing and Communications.
  • Develop and execute crisis communication plans as needed, ensuring the company's reputation remains intact during challenging times.
  • Responsibility to protect and enhance the company's brand image within the region, ensuring consistency and alignment with global brand guidelines.
  • Act as an interface to the GO M&C and when it comes to the local internet presence while considering cultural aspects, conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for growth in the region.
  • Cultivate strong relationships internally and externally alike, with regional media, partners, influencers, industry and internal stakeholders as well as management to promote the company's brand and initiatives effectively.
  • Formulate HR requirements (hiring, skill development, training) for marketing workforce in the region.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • University degree in Marketing or equivalent work experience

Experience & Further Qualifications

  • Fluent in English (C1)
  • Beneficial of speaking Spain and/or Portuguese
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in related area
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience as Senior Manager for large teams as well as virtual leading experiences
  • At least 2 years of experience working in/with intercultural teams
