Responsible AI Data Scientist

Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Scientist to lead the creation and deployment of intelligent data models and algorithms that address complex business challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of AI, machine learning, and advanced data analytics, along with a strong commitment to Responsible AI practices—ensuring that solutions are not only effective, but also ethical, transparent, and aligned with organizational values. You will collaborate across disciplines to turn raw data into meaningful insight and scalable solutions while maintaining trust, fairness, and accountability.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the development of advanced data models and AI/ML frameworks tailored to business goals
• Build and optimize robust data workflows and machine learning pipelines, ensuring quality, fairness, and reproducibility at each stage
• Apply Responsible AI principles to model development, ensuring transparency, interpretability, and bias mitigation in all deployed solutions
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and analytics; evaluate new technologies through the lens of both innovation and ethical impact
• Evaluate and integrate third-party and open-source tools to enhance analytical capabilities while maintaining security and governance standards
• Ensure compliance with evolving data governance, privacy, and ethical AI protocols across models and data processes
• Work with stakeholders to define analytical questions, shape solutions, and communicate results with clarity and integrity
• Partner closely with engineers, analysts, and architects to ensure alignment across the full data and technology stack
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to both technical and business audiences, highlighting model limitations and ethical considerations where relevant

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics) or equivalent hands-on experience
• Minimum of 6 years working in a data science or advanced analytics role
• Demonstrated success in designing and deploying AI/ML-driven applications with attention to ethical and responsible deployment
• Fluency in programming languages and tools commonly used for data science, such as Python, R, and SQL
• Familiarity with cloud-based systems and tools, especially for data storage and model deployment (e.g., RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache)
• Strong grasp of visualization and reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight
• Experience working in agile, iterative development environments
• Skilled at communicating complex technical results to non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to solve business problems through data modeling and experimentation
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and the flexibility to adapt in dynamic environments

• Familiarity with fairness-aware modeling, model explainability tools (e.g., SHAP, LIME), and AI ethics frameworks
