Work Environment:
- Ideally, the workday would run from roughly 1700 – 0200 to maximize the overlap with
- European and US Eastern Time work hours.
- Most of the work is computer-based.
- Ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile, and prepare work documents, and set up and maintain work files.
- Willingness to work at least 5 hours per day; ability to handle pressure during peak periods during the year, availability to handle issues outside of normal working hours.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and support user research efforts, including interviews, surveys, and data analysis to understand user behavior and develop user personas.
- Create customer journey maps and experience flows that visualize end-to-end user interactions, identifying key pain points and opportunities.
- Plan, conduct, and analyze usability testing across product features and prototypes. Use findings to iterate on designs.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma or Adobe XD to visualize and communicate design ideas.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, product owners, developers, QA, and other stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Contribute to and maintain a shared design system, ensuring consistency across UI components and patterns.
- Design for responsiveness across devices and ensure accessibility compliance
Job Summary
- Directly reports to the Product Manager
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Create journey maps, personas, and experience flows that reflect real user needs.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize features and workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate design implementation.
- Maintain and evolve the UI design system to support product consistency and scale.
- Design with responsiveness and accessibility in mind across all touchpoints.
- Apply design thinking and user-centered design practices to solve problems.
- Work closely with Development to guide on how the design should be implemented.
- Maintain reference documentation for UI elements and design
- Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability data.
Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-6 years of professional experience in a UI/UX design role, with a strong focus on usability, research, and interaction design
- Proven experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle
- Strong proficiency with prototyping and design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or InVision
- Experience using wireframing and mapping tools such as Lucidchart, Balsamiq, or Miro
- Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct usability testing, analyze results, and iterate designs accordingly
- Experience creating interactive prototypes, journey maps, user personas, and flows
- Understanding of responsive and accessible design standards, with experience designing mobile and desktop interfaces
- Experience working directly with Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, and QA teams to deliver and refine user-centric features
