Hybrid Dubai, UAE Design

Position Summary

TrueForge is looking for a UX/UI Designer to reimagine and redesign the user interfaces of legacy applications. You will create intuitive, modern, and visually appealing designs that improve usability and user satisfaction as we transform outdated software into contemporary web and mobile applications.

About The Role

As a UX/UI Designer at TrueForge, you’ll take on the challenge of improving user experience in enterprise software modernization projects. You’ll start by researching users’ needs and pain points with current legacy systems. Using these insights, you’ll design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI that bring new life to old applications. You will work closely with product managers, business analysts, and developers to ensure your designs are feasible and aligned with project goals. Throughout the process, you’ll iterate on feedback to get the user experience just right.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct user research, interviews, and usability tests to understand end-user needs and issues with existing systems.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts for modernized interfaces.
  • Develop consistent design systems, style guides, and UI components to ensure a cohesive look and feel across the application.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and business analysts, to refine designs and ensure proper implementation.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and users to iteratively improve designs, ensuring the final product is user-friendly and accessible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the UX/UI design process for projects, from initial concept through final design handoff to development.
  • Ensure all designs follow UX best practices and accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG), making the modernized software usable for all users.
  • Advocate for the end-user perspective during product discussions and design reviews, keeping user needs central to the process.
  • Maintain and update design documentation and libraries, facilitating efficient collaboration and reuse of design elements across projects.
  • Stay current with the latest design trends and tools, bringing fresh ideas to continuously enhance our products’ user experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • A creative yet analytical mindset, with the ability to simplify complex workflows into clean, user-friendly designs.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design skills, especially projects involving complex web or enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar).
  • Knowledge of responsive design principles and familiarity with front-end capabilities/constraints (HTML/CSS).
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationale and welcome constructive feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a track record of designing applications or software products.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing, and translating findings into design improvements.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (such as WCAG) and how to implement them in design.
  • Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers.
