TrueFan Travel is a fan travel startup based out of Philadelphia that creates premium sports travel experiences for passionate fans around the world. As the Official Fan Travel Partner of the Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, Wrexham AFC, and others, we're building one of the fastest-growing brands in sports travel.

We're looking for a creative, organized, and execution-focused marketer to help tell our story and grow our community.

Position Summary

The Content & Social Media Manager will own the strategy, planning, creation, execution, and performance of TrueFan Travel's content across all digital channels.

Working directly with the VP of Marketing, this person will lead our content strategy, manage the marketing calendar, create engaging content, and ensure every major campaign, trip launch, and partnership is executed at a high level.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both creating great content and building the systems that keep marketing running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media and content strategy
  • In-depth understanding of Photoshop and video editing software like Premiere, After Effects, CapCut, etc
  • Understanding of available data and metrics across platforms and how to interpret them to inform decision-making
  • Own and maintain the marketing calendar, planning content in advance
  • Create engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, email, and other digital channels
  • Capture and edit photos and videos, including travel and event content. Post content in a timely manner
  • Develop platform-specific social media playbooks and best practices
  • Collaborate with Operations, Partnerships, Customer Experience, and Leadership to identify and execute marketing opportunities
  • Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and customer inquiries. Track and report key marketing KPIs, including audience growth, engagement, campaign performance, and conversions
  • Drive meaningful growth in follower count, engagement metrics, and audience reach; ensure social initiatives actively convert into user sign-ups and platform activity rather than relying solely on vanity metrics
  • Stay current on social media trends, emerging platforms, and AI marketing tools
  • Travel on select domestic and international trips and events to capture content and support major events
  • Comply with company, team and league rules and regulations around content and IP

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in social media, content marketing, or digital marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Deep understanding of major social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X) and best practices
  • A proven, demonstrable track record of driving organic growth and high performance, supported by a portfolio of previous work
  • Strong writing, storytelling, photography, and video editing skills
  • Experience with Meta Business Suite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Metricool, or similar platforms
  • Highly organized with exceptional project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Sports Fluency: strong knowledge and understanding of the NFL and other leagues
  • Precise understanding of how fan communities communicate and engage online
  • Passion for travel is a plus

Within the first six months, this person will:

  • Maintain and execute a content calendar
  • Establish consistent communication and collaboration across departments
  • Increase engagement and audience growth across all channels
  • Deliver regular KPI reporting to leadership
  • Improve the consistency, quality, and execution of TrueFan Travel's marketing efforts
