Truce Law is a Washington family law firm built around a specific posture: the legal process should protect what people are trying to preserve, not make the separation worse than it has to be. Our marketing exists to find the clients who want that.

We're building our marketing department to a team of five through 2026 and early 2027. This is the first structural hire under our Director of Marketing — the person who owns the operating layer of the department: campaigns run correctly, the vendor delivers what it was paid for, the attribution data is true, and the firm is visible where search is moving next.

If you've held the number on paid search — not supported someone who held it — and you can tell us specifically where Truce would show up (or wouldn't) in an AI answer engine today, we want to talk to you.

Why Join Truce Law

  • The first structural hire under a newly-arrived Director of Marketing — real ownership, real boundaries
  • A required, load-bearing AI search mandate — not an emerging-trend footnote
  • You inherit working infrastructure (HubSpot, a live agency, an attribution build in progress) — your first 90 days are diagnosis and correction, not construction
  • A department growing from one person to five inside six months, with a defined path to Director / VP / CMO as the firm scales

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, Vision: Employer-paid coverage for employees. This is fully covered — no employee premium contribution required.
  • Paid Time Off: Four weeks total — three weeks PTO plus a fully paid week off for the firm's winter holiday closure.
  • Paid Holidays: 10 paid holidays annually.
  • 401(k): 3% firm contribution — regardless of employee contribution.
  • Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA): Firm-funded account for wellness, fitness, and lifestyle expenses.
  • Professional Development Stipend: Annual stipend to support certifications, training, and continued education.
  • Firm Technology: Microsoft 365 / Copilot and Claude AI tooling provided. Employer-provided tech package.
  • AAA Membership: Roadside assistance, identity theft protection, and discounted pet insurance.

Compensation: $85,000 – $105,000

Qualifications

  • 3+ years owning paid search performance with budget accountability. You've held the number, not supported someone who held it.
  • Google Ads fluency sufficient to audit a vendor. You can look at an agency's account and say specifically what's wrong with it.
  • Hands-on HubSpot Marketing Hub operation, plus GA4, Search Console, and CRM-integrated call tracking (CallRail or equivalent).
  • AI search strategy — required and tested. You can explain who's currently cited on real Washington family law questions, why, and what would need to change for a named Truce page to be cited. Assessed in the interview process, including a live screen-share component.
  • Preferred: WordPress/Elementor, Semrush or Ahrefs, professional services or legal marketing experience, and prior agency management from the client side.
  • Not required: HubSpot build/architecture experience, design or video production, or a legal industry background.

Responsibilities

  • Paid Acquisition. Own Google Ads performance — in-house or agency-run — fluent enough to audit the vendor's work. Segment campaigns by case and process type; execute budget within allocation and recommend shifts backed by evidence.
  • AI Search Strategy. Establish and maintain measurement of whether Truce is cited across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Adapt site architecture for answer-engine retrieval and report monthly on movement.
  • HubSpot & Data Integrity. Operate and maintain an existing instance — not architect it. Own attribution input integrity: UTM tagging, zero untagged contacts, clean form-to-CRM data.
  • Vendor Performance. Own the agency's performance — weekly live call, deliverable QC, a functional scorecard. The Director owns the relationship; you own whether the work is real.
  • Team Leadership. Manage the Marketing Assistant (supervision transfers to you at Day 30) with weekly 1-on-1s and a scored KPI scorecard.
  • Reporting & Brand. Deliver a weekly analytics review and a monthly performance report. Apply the firm's brand filter to campaign-side output and escalate edge cases.
