Motion Designer
About The Role
TRON is looking for an experienced Motion Designer to help us evolve and scale our brand through motion. You will produce a wide variety of deliverables—from high-fidelity campaign work and in-person events to social media animations and explainer videos.
Working within the Design team, you will balance crafting original designs with partnering closely with designers and stakeholders to define how our brand comes to life. We are looking for a designer with deep technical expertise in motion graphics and animation, who understands how storytelling translates across video editing and sound design.
What You'll Accomplish
- Elevate visual storytelling: Concept and craft high-quality motion graphics and visual effects that bring the brand narrative to life across video and digital touchpoints.
- Deliver end-to-end excellence: Drive projects from initial concept to high-fidelity final delivery, utilizing storyboarding, style frames, and animation to execute detail-oriented work within our brand system.
- Scale motion operations: Evolve our motion principles and guidelines while establishing self-serve workflows and templates that empower the wider organization to produce high-quality work at speed.
- Optimize for efficiency: Proactively identify and integrate emerging industry trends, software, and tools to continuously improve the quality, speed, and technical capabilities of our motion design output.
What We're Looking For
- Portfolio: A strong body of work that demonstrates expertise in 2D animation, 3D motion/rendering, explainer videos, social content, event footage, and video production.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (especially After Effects), Figma, VFX workflows, Final Cut Pro, and Cinema 4D, along with experience leveraging AI platforms to enhance creativity and efficiency.
- Production Versatility: The ability to concept, design, and produce motion assets across brand foundations, marketing campaigns, paid social, and organic channels. Design Expertise: Strong conceptual skills with proficiency in motion design, typography, color theory, illustration, photography, and layout.
- Storytelling: The ability to craft compelling narratives, combined with the production know-how to edit and deliver polished final assets.
- Systems Thinking: A strategic, detail-oriented approach to building and maintaining scalable design systems.
- Time Management: The capacity to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines.
- Organization: A commitment to maintaining well-structured systems for project files, assets, and templates.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills to drive projects from concept through completion.
