Our ambition is to be the most successful games company in the world, and we’re just getting started.
The role is working within our studio: Peoplefun
PeopleFun is an award-winning Dallas-based game studio founded and led by game industry veterans, where game developers thrive on collaboration, creativity, teamwork, and fun.
We believe in bringing People together through Fun by creating the best in class social features and communities in our games that enables our players to engage deeply with other players. We build teams that foster healthy collaboration, incredible productivity, and life-long professional relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Wordscapes serves millions of monthly players across iOS and Android. Every update, every A/B test, and every new feature ships to a massive live audience. We need someone who can build the testing infrastructure that lets us move fast without breaking things—and who’s excited about figuring out where AI tooling genuinely accelerates quality work versus where it’s noise.
This role goes beyond traditional test automation. You’ll design and implement robust client-side automation within Unity, building tools and test frameworks that validate gameplay systems, economy logic, and LiveOps configurations. While many of these automations will interact with backend systems through APIs and services, the primary focus is on client-side validation and in-engine tooling. You’ll help define how AI-assisted workflows fit into our development lifecycle and partner with gameplay engineers, backend engineers, product managers, and QA analysts to build quality systems that reduce manual regression and increase release confidence.
Current state: We have foundational test automation in place. You’ll inherit existing frameworks and be expected to significantly expand coverage, reliability, and sophistication—not start from zero.
What you’ll doAI-Assisted Quality EngineeringWe believe AI tools can meaningfully accelerate parts of the testing lifecycle, generating test scaffolding, identifying edge cases, improving failure diagnostics, but we’re still learning where the leverage is highest. You’ll be expected to:
