The Role
We’re looking for a talented Freelance Graphic Designer to join our creative team. You’ll be responsible for both static designs and light motion graphics used in short-form video ads across social media platforms. In many cases, you’ll be given only a copy-driven brief and expected to independently create visually compelling, conversion-optimized creative that aligns with current trends.
This role requires strong design instincts, social platform fluency, and the ability to consistently meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
What You’ll Do
- Design high-converting static ad creatives using image assets and copy
- Build light motion graphics like animated text, emojis, end cards, CTA elements, and graphic overlays
- Create GFX for video ads that support storytelling and maximize viewer retention
- Optimize layouts, colors, and text treatments to reflect trends and improve performance
- Repurpose creatives across different formats, platforms, and aspect ratios
- Collaborate with editors, copywriters, and producers to refine and improve creative based on performance data
- Deliver clean, organized files with excellent self-QA practices
- Maintain a fast turnaround speed and be available during 9am–6pm EST
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design and/or motion graphics for social media advertising
- Strong understanding of direct response creative, video pacing, hook design, and engagement techniques
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (Bonus: Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign)
- Portfolio showcasing both static and motion social ad creative (TikTok, Facebook, IG, YouTube, etc.)
- Comfortable creating from scratch using copy, brief prompts, or performance data
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working quickly without sacrificing quality
Bonus Points
- Experience with MOGRTs, meme-inspired visuals, or short-form UGC-style design
- Familiarity with AI tools and LLMs for ideation and refinement
- Prior work in direct response or ecommerce performance marketing
