Summary
The Construction Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects across multiple locations. This role is responsible for managing field operations, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and safety compliance. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a field-first mindset who can effectively coordinate teams, solve problems in real time, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through completion
- Oversee daily field operations, subcontractors, and site personnel
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and on budget
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders across multiple sites
- Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure execution alignment
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to leadership and clients
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies
- Manage subcontractor performance, contracts, and deliverables
- Identify and resolve construction issues, delays, and risks in real time
- Support project scheduling, cost tracking, and resource planning
- Travel to project sites as required to oversee execution and ensure quality
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in construction management or field leadership roles
- Experience managing commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and project execution
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple job sites
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50–75%)
- Proficiency with project management tools and scheduling software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
- OSHA certification or strong knowledge of construction safety practices preferred
