DESCRIPTION
As Lead UI/UX Designer on the Financial Services consolidation, you will own and drive the
end-to-end design strategy for merging two high-visibility domains into a single, unified AEM-
based platform. You will partner closely with Product, Development, QA, SEO, Analytics,
Content, and Stakeholder teams to translate complex business objectives into intuitive,
accessible, and scalable user experiences. This role requires visionary leadership of the UX/UI
practice, including establishing design governance, championing a component-driven system,
and ensuring pixel-perfect fidelity from Figma through Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
implementation.
● Own the consolidated UX vision, defining design principles, patterns, and success
metrics that align with organizational goals (e.g., engagement uplift, template reuse,
design-to-dev accuracy).
● Architect and govern a production-ready design system comprising 100+ responsive
components, 5 enterprise-grade templates, and micro-interaction specifications,
ensuring strict WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
● Lead a distributed UX/UI team: mentor senior and mid-level designers, conduct rigorous
design reviews, and establish best-practice playbooks (style guidelines, naming
conventions, version control).
● Serve as the primary liaison to Executive and Legal stakeholders—facilitate design
workshops, steer consensus during high-impact design critiques, and incorporate
feedback into iterative sprints.
● Collaborate with AEM Architects and Front-End leads to confirm component feasibility,
hand off detailed Figma specs, and monitor implementation quality (assess edge-case
states, cross-browser behavior, performance constraints).
● Define and track key KPIs (e.g., ≥ 98% design-to-development accuracy, ≥ 85%
component reuse rate, user satisfaction scores), and embed continuous improvement
cycles via regular QA/UX audits.
● Champion accessibility and inclusivity by conducting audits of color contrast, semantic
markup, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader flows, and guiding remediation
strategies within design artifacts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Strategic UX Leadership: Drive the high-level design roadmap, ensure alignment with
business and technical roadmaps, and anticipate future scalability needs (white-labeling,
localization, personalization).
● Design System Stewardship: Oversee creation and maintenance of a modular,
extensible design library (tokens, variants, responsive breakpoints), with detailed
documentation, version control, and usage guidelines.
● Cross-Functional Governance: Act as the authoritative design voice in sprint planning,
backlog grooming, and triage calls; partner with Product Owners to refine requirements
into actionable design tasks.
● Stakeholder Engagement: Lead executive presentations, legal reviews, and brand-
governance approvals; synthesize large-scale feedback into prioritized design backlogs.
● Quality Assurance & Handoff: Validate final builds against high-fidelity comps; provide
annotated redlines and implementation notes; support QA teams in pixel-perfect sign-off
across devices and browsers.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor’s or Master’s in HCI, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, or equivalent.
● 7+ years’ proven leadership in UI/UX design for large enterprises or agency
environments—preferably on AEM or other headless CMS platforms.
● Expertise with Figma (Libraries, Prototyping, Auto Layout), Sketch, Adobe Creative
Cloud, and prototyping tools (Principle, Protopie, Framer).
● Deep understanding of component-driven design: atomic/atomic-to-molecule-to-
organism methodologies, design tokens, responsive breakpoints, and design system
governance.
● Strong command of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), with hands-on experience
conducting and remediating accessibility audits.
● Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence without authority, and
navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems.
● Exceptional communication and presentation skills—comfortable conducting executive-
level briefings, workshops, and design critiques.
● Familiarity with AEM’s front-end paradigms (HTL, Sling, ClientLibs) and the ability to
translate Figma specs into developer-ready assets.
● Experience operating in Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating with Product,
Development, and QA in two-week sprint cadences.
● Data-driven mindset: adept at defining and tracking UX KPIs, analyzing user metrics
(Heatmaps, Clickstreams, GA4), and iterating designs based on quantitative/qualitative
feedback.
