Staff Software Engineer

Staff Engineer – Payments | TRAILD

Location: Melbourne (Remote to AU)

Iterate have partnered with Australian Tech Scale up Traild to scale their payments engineering team here in Australia.

Your role as the Staff Engineer will be to take the payments product from a second generation prototype to a production ready product. You will have the opportunity to own and lead the payments domain from a technical perspective. The current team is sat at 5 Engineers and we are hiring a Engineering Manager who will be your peer.

The experience you can bring:

- You have a strong attention to detail, a high regard for quality, and an understanding of the serious impact of errors. (Think paying the wrong amount to the wrong person)

- Staff engineers need to work very closely with product managers and teams to ensure that technical proposals align with product goals, balancing feasibility and feature prioritisation. Meaning you understand how what your building delivers customer values.

- You like working in culture emphasizes pragmatic, output-driven development rather than perfectionism. A culture that encourages people to be high agency.

The Tech:

- We're a microsoft shop so use DotNetCore & C# however we look for problem solvers who are tech agnostic.

- We expect you to be passionate about highly scalable, fault tolerant, globally distributed systems. Our systems are built on a micro-services, event driven

architecture using Google Cloud.
