We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to join our Global Technology Finance & Client Data team. This is a greenfield development project to modernize and replace a companywide AUM reporting platform.
The team is building a custom platform from the ground up that will automate data acquisition, transformation, and reporting while eliminating manual SQL-based reporting processes. The initial MVP is expected to be delivered within 9–12 months, making this an opportunity to contribute to a long-term strategic initiative.
This is not a Data Engineer position. We are looking for an experienced software engineer who can design and build backend services, data processing pipelines, and supporting UI components for a modern enterprise application.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a new enterprise platform from the ground up using modern software engineering practices.
- Build Apache Airflow DAGs to orchestrate batch data pipelines into Snowflake.
- Develop scalable Python applications and FastAPI REST APIs to expose curated business data.
- Design and maintain Snowflake data models across RAW, STAGING, CORE, and REPORTING layers using dbt.
- Implement complex business workflows, calculations, and data transformation logic.
- Build and enhance React/TypeScript user interfaces for workflow management and reporting tools as needed.
- Create secure REST services using JWT/OAuth2 authentication with OpenAPI documentation.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to automate manual reporting processes and deliver scalable data solutions.
- Work with existing .NET applications by understanding integration points and business logic (no C# development required).
Required Qualifications
- Previous Asset Management or Investment Management experience is required.
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Backend Engineer, Full Stack Developer, or Python Software Engineer building enterprise applications.
- Strong Python development experience.
- Hands-on experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI.
- Experience designing and building Apache Airflow DAGs and workflow orchestration.
- Strong experience with Snowflake data warehouse architecture and development.
- Experience implementing data models using dbt.
- Experience designing scalable backend systems and complex business workflows.
- Experience building batch-oriented data pipelines.
- Understanding of secure API development, JWT/OAuth2 authentication, and OpenAPI documentation.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern SDLC practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
