Role Overview:
The CRM & Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for owning and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey through targeted email and SMS campaigns, marketing automation, segmentation strategies, and CRM management. This role plays a critical part in driving customer retention, lifetime value, and overall brand loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive email marketing strategy aligned with business goals and customer lifecycle stages.
- Manage CRM platform(s) (e.g., Klaviyo, Attentive) and ensure accurate segmentation, data hygiene, and personalization.
- Plan, build, and deploy campaigns including newsletters, product launches, transactional emails, onboarding, win-backs, and promotions.
- Own A/B testing strategy for subject lines, copy, design, send times, and segmentation to optimize key metrics (open rate, CTR, conversion, unsubscribe rate).
- Partner with design and copy teams to produce high-converting email creative and messaging.
- Analyze campaign performance and customer data to provide actionable insights and improve future campaigns.
- Audit, optimize and maintain performance of all automated flows (e.g., welcome series, cart abandonment, post-purchase, etc) and continuously refine them based on performance data.
- Monitor email deliverability, compliance, and platform health.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, growth marketing, and customer service teams to support broader marketing initiatives.
- Stay current with CRM and email marketing trends, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in CRM and email marketing, preferably in ecommerce or DTC.
- Proficiency with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Attentive, etc.).
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, automation workflows, and lifecycle marketing.
- Experience with customer segmentation and analytics.
- Excellent written communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for emails is a plus.
- Clean beauty experience is a plus.
