Remote Senior Data Scientist

Now the company is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join its core team:

Tasks:

• play a pivotal role in addressing complex challenges aligned with the company's mission to deliver high-performing renewable energy forecasts

Must-have:

• Proven ability to develop and deploy machine learning models based on state-of-the-art research
• In-depth knowledge of advanced algorithms and their real-world applications
• Hands-on experience in production environments with: deep learning frameworks, especially PyTorch, time-series forecasting and computer vision tasks, geospatial tools (Python) (e.g., xarray, dask, ZARR experience is a strong advantage)
• Advanced proficiency in Python with a strong grasp of software development best practices
• Expertise in big data tools and platforms, such as Delta Lake and Databricks
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
• Exceptional ability to communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members
• Strong interpersonal skills to thrive in distributed and collaborative teams
• An innovative mindset with a passion for creating impactful solutions

Nice-to-have:

• Probabilistic modeling
• Familiarity with tensorial data tools (e.g., ZARR stack, Icechunk, TileDB)
