•Experience implementing levels, abilities, and characters in Unity.
•A relevant portfolio demonstrating hands-on Unity implementation and game design work.
•Strong familiarity with turn-based tactics games and their gameplay systems.
•Ability to work with detailed creative direction while independently resolving less-defined design challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience working as a combat, level, or systems designer on a published turn-based tactics game.
•Knowledge of and openness to using AI tools to support game development.
•Extensive experience playing turn-based tactics games, such as Baldur's Gate 3, XCOM 2, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Wasteland 3.
Compensation and Work Arrangement
•Salary range: $90,000–$110,000, plus benefits.
•Initial engagement: 3–6-month remote contract.
•Potential transition: Full-time, fully onsite position following a successful review.
•Onsite location: Bellevue, Washington.
