## About the Role

Facet is seeking a Staff Data Analyst to provide high-impact analytical insights that help operations, product, and leadership teams maximize business performance. As part of the Data Science & Analytics team, this role will focus on modeling, understanding, and optimizing growth, margin, and retention initiatives.

This is a strategic analytics role rather than a traditional BI or dashboard-building position. The Staff Data Analyst will partner directly with senior leadership and executive management, conduct deep-dive analysis, build lightweight reporting tools, identify business opportunities, and translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations.

## Key Responsibilities

* Act as a trusted analytical advisor to senior leadership and executive management.

* Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

* Partner with cross-functional teams to influence business strategy and execution.

* Proactively identify opportunities to optimize performance, improve efficiency, and capture business value.

* Conduct deep-dive Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) using Jupyter Notebooks.

* Diagnose business trends, test hypotheses, and identify relationships within data.

* Build and maintain interactive data applications using Python and Streamlit.

* Develop high-impact Google Sheets connected to BigQuery for business-facing and self-service reporting.

* Integrate modern, secure AI-assisted tools and workflow automation into analytics processes.

* Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate code generation, SQL optimization, debugging, and repetitive data exploration tasks.

* Gather, clean, and model data from multiple sources using Python, SQL, and dbt.

* Ensure analytical data and outputs are accurate and consistent.

* Participate in peer reviews of SQL queries, Python scripts, and analytical methodologies.

* Maintain high standards for analytical quality and data integrity.

## Required Qualifications

* 7+ years of experience in a highly analytical, decision science, or advanced business intelligence role.

* Proven track record of directly influencing senior management and executive decision-making.

* Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to advise, challenge, and collaborate with cross-functional leaders.

* Proficiency with Python, including Pandas and NumPy, for data manipulation, visualization, and lightweight application development with Streamlit.

* Proficiency with SQL and dbt for data modeling.

* Experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake.

* Expert-level experience using Jupyter Notebooks for structured exploratory data analysis and statistical validation.

* Demonstrated experience using modern, secure AI tools and developer workflow automation for coding, debugging, and analytical tasks.

* Experience using Google Sheets connected directly to cloud data warehouses for business-facing reporting.

* Strong understanding of consumer technology businesses and key metrics including LTV, retention, CAC, ARR, margin, and cohort analysis.

* Familiarity with secure data handling and customer data privacy best practices.

* Proven ability to identify a business problem or opportunity, develop an analytical approach, and drive it toward a measurable business outcome.

* Experience using Git for version control, collaboration, and code sharing.
