# SR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
## About the Role
Aerostrat is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company building a complete maintenance planning solution for the aviation industry. As a Sr Software Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in expanding infrastructure and APIs so Aerostrat can scale with its customers.
Working as part of a small engineering team, you’ll analyze complex customer problems, design scalable backend solutions, and build reliable, well-tested features. You’ll have opportunities to contribute across the product lifecycle, from technical design and development to deployments and customer integrations, while helping shape the direction of the product.
## Key Responsibilities
* Learn aviation maintenance planning through Aerostrat’s onboarding process.
* Analyze complex customer problems and develop efficient backend solutions.
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable systems and well-tested features.
* Design and implement reliable, high-quality, performant, and sustainable services.
* Build and maintain infrastructure and APIs that can scale with customers.
* Work with the business team to develop user stories and designs from ambiguous requirements or problems.
* Contribute to technical designs for other engineers.
* Work across different areas of the engineering stack as needed in a lean team environment.
* Contribute to design, deployments, and customer integrations when needed.
* Work directly with customers to help build integrations.
* Continuously learn and improve engineering solutions and processes.
* Contribute to product direction and ship important features regularly.
## Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of professional experience with C#/.NET.
* 5+ years of professional experience with SQL databases.
* 3+ years of professional experience working with REST APIs.
* 3+ years of professional experience working with Azure or AWS cloud projects.
* 3+ years of professional experience creating technical designs for other engineers.
* Significant experience building and consuming REST APIs and microservices.
* Significant experience building B2B cloud solutions on Azure or AWS.
* Strong ability to analyze and solve customer problems.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative in a lean engineering environment.
* Strong written communication and positive communication style.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Aerospace maintenance experience or interest in the aerospace industry.
* Experience building B2B SaaS applications.

## Work Arrangement & Schedule
* Job Type: Full-time
* Work Arrangement: Remote
* Preferred Location: Within 50 miles of Seattle, WA
* Schedule: Monday–Friday, normal business hours

* Salary: $140,000–$200,000 per year
