The North American Channel Marketing Manager, Key Accounts and Speciality is responsible for executing strategic marketing initiatives tailored to the unique needs of these retail channels in the US and Canada. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role will support the planning and execution of campaigns, promotions, and product launches, aimed at driving sales and brand awareness across Walmart, Sams, Costco and other club channels, in addition to the Specialty Retail Channel. The manager will oversee the implementation of marketing programs, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and local market needs. Key responsibilities include analyzing performance metrics, providing detailed project reporting, and working with internal teams to create compelling, customer-centric marketing content. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the retail landscape, an analytical mindset, and excellent project management skills to drive measurable results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Travel requirements are expected to be 20% and the role reports to the Director, Retail & Trade.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work closely on projects with Retail & Trade team from start-to-finish both in physical and online channel projects
- Work with Marketing and Sales to execute integrated marketing activities across media and marketing channels that align authentically to these retail channels
- Organize support of planning, executing and recapping all projects/programs cross-functionally
- Set up and manage marketing initiatives in Asana while keeping everything up-to-date and well documented with progress
- Assist with creative requests and feedback, and coordination of activities across marketing channels
- Coordinate products and displays for Walmart & Clubs retail programs and events
- Support key partnerships (licensors and events) by leading or supporting execution for Trade Marketing programs
- Align channel programs with budget and forecast to ensure successful outcomes and spend efficiencies
- Work closely with Sales Managers to challenge retail partners' marketing activities to push Tonies growth/experience working with/at Walmart, Sams, Costco and other channels, and also with Specialty channels.
- Project Management: Work closely with the Retail & Trade team on various retail projects, overseeing each from inception to completion. Ensure seamless execution and integration across all marketing activities.
- Program Development & Execution: Assist the Trade Marketing team in developing and executing retail programs while briefing Sales on our integrated marketing strategies across multiple media and marketing channels.
- Project Organization: Plan, execute, and recap projects and programs cross-functionally. Maintain accurate records and documentation of progress using Asana or similar project management tools.
- Creative Coordination: Support creative requests and provide feedback. Ensure cohesive integration of marketing activities across all channels. Bring a creative eye to the process for efficient briefing and execution.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data on program performance. Prepare detailed reports to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Event & Retail Program Coordination: Manage logistics for products and displays at events and various retail programs.
- Partnership Support: Assist in executing Trade Marketing programs for key partnerships, including retailers, licensors and various events.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years in a marketing role dealing with retail channels in the US and Canada.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail and design
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with efficiency in time management
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Google Suite, Slack, and Asana or similar project management systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively, take direction, and work independently when needed.
- Passion for Retail: Genuine interest in retail and enthusiasm for supporting a growing brand in the U.S. market.
- Experience with/at Target, Walmart, Kohl’s and Clubs in the US and Canada is highly valued.
- MS Office & Google Suite Proficient (Excel & Google Sheets intermediate)
- Proficiency in PM tools (Miro, Asana, Cross cap, etc)
