The Opportunity

Together Digital is seeking a visionary Lead Software Engineer to spearhead our technical direction and lead our website development team. As an award-winning digital agency, we are moving beyond traditional website builds into highly scalable, AI-integrated, and headless architectures.

You won’t just be writing code; you will be shaping our engineering culture, embracing AI-assisted development to move faster, and ensuring our infrastructure on Vercel and AWS is world-class.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of developers, conducting code reviews and setting the standard for TypeScript/Node.js excellence.
• Architecture & CMS: Architect modern web solutions using Headless CMS platforms (Storyblok, Strapi, etc.) paired with Next.js/React.
• AI Integration: Actively embrace and implement AI development tools and workflows to optimize the team’s output and deliver innovative features for clients.
• DevOps & Deployment: Own our deployment pipelines, primarily utilizing Vercel for frontend and AWS for backend/serverless infrastructure.
• System Integrity: Oversee high-performance integrations, including payment gateways (Stripe) and complex third-party APIs.

Requirements (Must-Haves)

• Experience: 5+ years in Full Stack development with a proven track record of leading web dev teams.
• Stack: Deep mastery of the Node.js/JS/TypeScript ecosystem.
• Headless Expertise: Hands-on experience with Headless CMS platforms—ideally Storyblok, though Strapi or similar is acceptable.
• Cloud & DevOps: Professional experience with Vercel and AWS (Lambda, S3) is essential.
• AI Mindset: You are not just aware of AI; you actively use it in your development workflow to increase efficiency and solve complex problems.
• Communication: Native or fluent English speaker with the ability to translate technical concepts for stakeholders.
