6 months Position : Marketing Automation Data Analyst (candidate who recently started received FTE offer & resigned) Mode : Temp Contingent worker - long term (6 month renewals, estimated 1.5 years) Profile : Need a data analyst with marketing automation experience and advanced SQL skills. Will pull data from Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other internal applications (Dynamo DB / S3 buckets) and generate email lists for campaigns. Must have worked with sensitive PII data. Solid communication skills required to collaborate with user requests/clarifications and email producers. Process : 0.5 interview with Brian, followed by a 1.0 team interview About the Team The Marketing Automation team is dedicated to ensuring timely and accurate communications for students, parents, and professionals. They partner across the organization to send hundreds of millions of communications annually, leveraging data for segmented, dynamic, and personalized messaging. About the Opportunity You will be part of a cross-functional digital campaign team, responsible for provisioning data for outbound digital communications, including email and SMS campaigns. Working remotely, you will plan, analyze, develop, test, deliver, and perform quality assurance on data used in these communications. In this role, you will: Business Analysis and Data Strategy (10%) Develop a deep understanding of the enterprise and marketing data landscape. Consult with internal customers on utilizing actionable data in marketing and operational emails. Data Provisioning (60%) Fulfill data requests using understanding of data, policies, and governance. Create complex data extensions and automation activities using SQL. Partner with Digital Production staff to customize data output for personalization and reporting. Support customers by investigating and resolving data quality incidents. Understand Salesforce Marketing Cloud data models and structures for targeted messaging. Conduct detailed data analysis to monitor and improve data quality. Ensure SQL code and data outputs meet business requirements through quality assurance. Process and Project Management (20%) Work with internal customers to clarify data requirements. Ensure SLAs are met; escalate issues as needed. Use JIRA for collaboration and task management. Documentation (10%) Document common queries and processes for team use. About You You have : A Bachelor's degree; postgraduate degree (MS or MBS) preferred. Experience with business and project management processes. 3-6 years managing data initiatives, including warehousing and BI. Advanced SQL skills, familiar with standards and best practices. Knowledge of DBMS, ETL, reporting, and data mining tools. Experience across data standards, management, warehousing, and BI. Proven ability to complete projects on time and within budget. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with education-related data is a plus. Additionally, preferred skills include: Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or quick learner of Salesforce practices. Experience with AWS, Postgres, DynamoDB, or similar cloud tech. Strategic thinking and relationship management skills. Business process analysis, design, and documentation skills. Execution-focused mindset. Willingness to learn and be challenged.
