Founding Team The founding team has an extensive background in the legal industry, consulting, and building ML platforms. Shuo - CTO & Cofounder: Shuo built the ML Platform (Michelangelo) at Uber for 5+ years, after which he was the head of AI & ML team at SupportLogic, a Series B startup using predictive & generative AI for customer support. Aizada - CEO & Cofounder: Aizada is a graduate of Harvard Law School, an attorney with 7+ years of experience including working at top law firms like Cooley and as a McKinsey consultant. Assel - CPO & Cofounder: Assel is a Harvard Business School graduate with 7 years of experience building products at FinTechs like SoFi and Step, and at large financial institutions at Ernst & Young. What we're looking for We are seeking a highly-skilled and ambitious frontend engineer with 5+ years of experience in developing web applications, passionate about building AI-native products to make immigration easy. You will own the products end-to-end and solve hard problems. A 'can-do' attitude in the 99th percentile is essential. Responsibilities Work closely with the founding team to implement ALMA web applications. Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality code, producing visual elements of the product. Develop and maintain all aspects of our web applications, ensuring high performance and seamless backend integration. Evaluate and leverage advanced JavaScript/TypeScript libraries and frameworks. Build reusable code/components/libraries for future use. Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and share knowledge. Role Requirements 5+ years of professional experience as a frontend engineer with a proven track record. Proficient in web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3. Advanced knowledge of React.js and Next.js, with experience deploying through Vercel. Familiarity with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms like LESS and SASS. Experience with CI/CD workflows such as Github Actions and CircleCI. Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions. Knowledge of package managers like Yarn or NPM and module bundlers like Webpack. Ability to translate product designs into technical and UI implementations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. BS/MS in Computer Science. If located in the Bay Area, in-office presence several days a week is preferred; otherwise, work over Zoom. Nice-to-haves Experience with data modeling and API implementation. Experience in startup environments (Seed or Series A). Experience working with LLMs like GPTs, Claude, or open-source LLMs.
