Core Data Science team.
In This Role, You Will Focus On Enhancing The Efficiency Of Data Scientists And Other Data Practitioners At Figma By Improving Data Quality, Developing Internal Tools, And Applying Novel Statistical Methods To Problems Specific To Figma. The Ideal Candidate Is Passionate About Transforming New Methodologies And Best Practices Into Useful Tools For Others, Has a Proven Track Record Of Collaborating Across Different Functions To Drive Impact, And Is Enthusiastic About Creative Problem-solving. What You'll Do:
Collaborate cross-functionally to understand existing problems and identify areas of impact for your team Understand user behavior within Figma through creation of new datasets, metrics, experimentation, etc. and guide decision making Develop new techniques, datasets, tools that will enable answering previously unanswered questions and increasing rigor of analyses Design and maintain frameworks that are widely leveraged across the company Establish partnerships with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Research, Design, Sales, and Marketing We’d love to hear from you if you have:
10+ years relevant work experience in Analytics, Data Science or Software Engineering Fluency in SQL Proficiency in Python, R, or a similar scripting language Experience in distributed data processing systems and framework (Hive, Redshift, Presto, Snowflake, Spark, etc.) Firm knowledge of statistical methods and experimental design Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills A self-starting mindset along with strong communication and collaboration skills At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range. Annual Base Salary Range (SF/NY Hub): $164,000 - $338,000 USD Figma offers equity to employees, as well a competitive package of additional benefits, including health, dental & vision, retirement with company contribution, parental leave & reproductive or family planning support, mental health & wellness benefits, generous PTO, company recharge days, a learning & development stipend, a work from home stipend, and cell phone reimbursement. Figma also offers sales incentive pay for most sales roles and an annual bonus plan for eligible non-sales roles.
