Data Scientist - INTL - India

A Fortune 50 client is looking for a Data Scientist Engineer to come join their team in support of their Integrated Business Planning program for their European sector. As a Data Scientist, you will be working on this clients large Integration Business Planning program in helping them change their data hierarchy by decreasing their 13k demand forecasting models to 7-8k in an effort to create less models but more efficient models. This role will require someone who understands IBP demand planning forecasting who can assess the accuracy and performance of machine learning models in the new models, help with model selection logic, perform data validation check and data quality checks, assist in the change in hierarchy of the data, and map existing old data to the new models to create better output. We are looking for someone who can help with making business recommendations and create solutions for problems that arise are key to success. You will also be working on data engineering areas and supporting analytics for business u as needed. An ideal candidate will have a passion for solving problems and be comfortable working in a smaller team, within a global organization. This role allows candidates to be remote in India, however you must be available to work either 10am-7pm IST or 11am 8pm IST.

Required Skills & Experience - 3-5 years overall Data Science experience - Proven track record building time series and machine learning models in production - Programming: Python ad Pyspark (pandas, NumPy, scikit learn), SQL (T SQL, PostgreSQL) - Experience working in Azure ecosystem: ADF, ADLS, Databricks, Blob, etc. - Knowledge with different models such as: ARIMA/SARIMA, Prophet, Crostons method, ETS, XGBoost, Random Forest, and/or Gradient Boosting. - ETL & Orchestration: Azure Data Factory or equivalent (e.g., AWS Glue, Google Cloud Dataflow). - Model Management: MLflow or similar for experiment tracking and model registry. - Deployment: Docker, CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins). - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong communication and teamwork abilities; ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Excellent written and verbal communication

Nice to Have Skills & Experience - Any experience or exposure to IBP demand planning - Understanding of data engineering concepts and tools - Industry experience in CPG, F&B, or FMCB
