As a Cyber Security Software Engineer, you will collaborate with Product Management to implement new features for our distributed web-based enterprise application and its surrounding systems. You will foster a security-first development mentality, ensuring that security is considered from the design and development phases. You will build tools and frameworks that simplify and streamline the integration of security features into other products across the company, enabling the team to build secure software efficiently. What You'll Need A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of back-end development experience, with at least one year of front-end development experience. Proficiency in Python and JavaScript. Experience with at least one front-end framework, such as React (preferred), Vue, Ionic, Bootstrap, Semantic UI, Foundation, Angular, or Polymer. Experience with a variety of databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Amazon DynamoDB, Redis, Amazon Timestream, MongoDB, Oracle, Cassandra, HBase, Hive, or Impala. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent software design and debugging abilities. The capacity to quickly learn new software, frameworks, and APIs. Experience with, or a strong desire to learn, Linux.

What Will Help You On The Job

Experience with deployment tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Git, GitHub, Heroku, Artifactory, Jenkins, Puppet, CHEF, CF Engine, Ansible, Terraform, Argo CD, and SaltStack. Experience in configuring and implementing CI/CD pipelines, specifically with GitHub Actions and workflows. Familiarity with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services, OpenStack, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Salesforce. Experience using security tools including Tenable/Nessus/Qualys, Kali, Coverity/Fortify, Twistlock, AppSpider/Netsparker/Burp, Wireshark, Metasploit, and Nmap. Knowledge of TCP/IP network fundamentals.

Salary

Salary range: $135,500.00 - $214,000.00 annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is $168,500.00- $252,500.00/ annually. Base pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position. EEO Statement
