Paid Media is at the core of what we do at TIDAL. Our Paid Media team is responsible for the full lifecycle of media planning, campaign execution, optimisation, and reporting. We operate as trusted partners to our clients, acting as strategic advisors, performance analysts, and platform experts. This department leads innovation in Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, and Commerce Media across multiple verticals.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to lead one of our largest and most prestigious accounts — a globally recognised electronics brand.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be the primary client contact, responsible for strategic direction, execution, and ongoing optimisation of Paid Media campaigns across platforms. You must be a proven expert in managing and growing major brand accounts independently, without close oversight, delivering measurable business impact.
This is not a stepping-stone role. We require someone who is already operating at a senior level, who can confidently own client relationships, develop Paid Media strategies, and lead campaign execution end-to-end.
You will be required to use communication tools (i.e. Slack) and project management tools (Monday.com) on a daily basis.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the main point of contact and trusted advisor for the client, owning all Paid Media activities.
- Build, execute, and optimise campaigns across Meta Ads, Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube), Amazon Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
- Develop and present strategic Paid Media plans aligned to business goals.
- Manage large budgets and ensure spend is optimally allocated to deliver the highest ROI.
- Analyse performance using GA4, LookerStudio, and ad platform insights, translating data into clear actions.
- Deliver clear, strategic client reports and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for growth, testing, and efficiency improvements.
- Stay up-to-date on industry innovations and best practices, proactively applying them.
- Work closely with internal creative, analytics, and operations teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Use project management and communication tools (e.g., Slack, Monday.com) to manage tasks and timelines.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years' Paid Media experience, specifically managing large, complex campaigns independently.
- Proven experience leading digital marketing strategy and execution for global or enterprise brands.
- Expertise across platforms: Google Ads, Meta Ads, Amazon Ads, LinkedIn Ads.
- Deep working knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager, LookerStudio, and campaign reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets and derive meaningful insights.
- Exceptional client-facing communication skills — confident presenting strategies and reports to senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

- Paid Media expert. Candidates looking to "find their feet" or "step up" into senior management will not be considered.
LOCATION REQUIREMENT
This role is exclusively open to candidates based in Johannesburg, South Africa. The ideal candidate will be
able to occasionally work from the client’s office in Johannesburg. Exceptional remote candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
