Seeking a highly organized Senior Project Manager with a strong background in managing large-scale construction projects with intensive mechanical and electrical systems. Position Overview:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading mission-critical data center projects from initial planning and design coordination through construction, commissioning, and turnover. This role requires the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, ensure technical excellence in MEP-heavy scopes, and deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion project safety culture and ensure compliance with all site and company safety standards.
- Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, including preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
- Develop and manage project budgets, contracts, and financial reporting.
- Oversee project schedules and proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that quality control and commissioning protocols are rigorously followed.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact.
- Manage subcontractor and vendor performance, including scope resolution and contract negotiations.
- Lead and mentor project engineers, field staff, and other team members to ensure operational excellence.
- Direct project closeout activities, including documentation, testing, commissioning, and client handover.
- Support business development by strengthening existing client relationships and pursuing new opportunities in the mission-critical sector.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience with a commercial general contractor, including at least 5 years in mission-critical or data center construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects with significant mechanical and electrical scope.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
- Experience with contract negotiations, project scheduling, and cost control.
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
